1. The NITP yesterday met with the management of the Nigerian Hydrological Services Agency – in continuation of the national president’s drive of engaging with institutions that play key roles in the sustainable planning and development of our cities, towns and regions.
2. In the context of the Agency, the NITP recognises the pivotal role of the Agency in ecological management, provision of data regarding the nation’s hydrological resources, flood risk proned areas across the states of the federation, among others, and how planning in the country can take advantage of the Agency’s resources.
3. The meeting was successful and both organizations agreed to have an MoU on common grounds of interests. This MoU should be out soonest, articulating the areas of interest.
4. We will keep you abreast of the happenings between the NITP and the Agency, especially when the MoU is signed.
