The 56th International Conference of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP) will take place in Nigeria's capital city of Abuja from 27th - 30th October 2025, at the NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja. It promises to be an awesome event with participants from academia, professional bodies, policymakers, members of parliament, non governmental and community-based organisations, government ofcials, planning agencies, and the general public in attendance. In addition, manufacturers, estate developers, marketers and product exhibitors in the built environment, among others, will be attending the conference. The gathering will be rich having participants from Nigeria, the rest of Africa and the international community, gather in the nation's capital city to interact, discuss and advance cutting edge solutions to planning issues relating especially to cities of the global south with special reference drawn from towns and cities in Nigeria and Africa in general.
The conference indeed promises to create a platform for collaboration, partnership and exchange of knowledge.
